Robert Spiece

I've been here at the workshop since 2006, when I started an apprenticeship with Jeff Lohr.  After several years spent learning and honing my craft I began making my own designs and custom commissions for clients across the country.  Beyond being a furniture maker, I teach classes in woodworking and write articles for woodworking related publications. 

You'll find my work throughout our furniture gallery.  My goal in all of my furniture is to present beautiful material with soft, simple lines and elegant forms.  Each piece is highly detailed with purposeful and tactile joinery, so that the fine details of the piece tell a story.  I can use this design vocabulary to create any piece of furniture you might need.
