DeTHOMAS BENCH & FOOTSTOOL

Materials:  Black walnut, brown oak inlay

This live edge bench was commissioned for an entry way. The accompanying stool was designed to match the bench and is pitched at just the right angle for easy shoe and boot tying! The tops of both pieces are made of live edge walnut slabs that were cut and dried here, by us. The natural splits and checks in the tops are repaired and stabilized with inlaid dovetail "bones". The legs are hand sculpted and are wedge-tenoned through the top surface for strength and added detail.
